Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions and answers

How accurate are the admission probability calculations?

Our calculations are based on historical cutoff data and statistical models. While we strive for accuracy, actual admission decisions depend on many factors including competition, quotas, and institutional policies. Use the probabilities as a guide, not a guarantee.

How do I add programs to my watchlist?

You can add programs to your watchlist from the program detail page, search results, or recommendations. Click the "Add to Watchlist" button or use the bulk add feature on the watchlist page.

Can I compare more than 5 programs?

Currently, you can compare up to 5 programs at once. This limit helps keep the comparison table readable and manageable. You can create multiple comparisons for different sets of programs.

How do I export my watchlist?

On the watchlist page, click the "Export CSV" button. This will download a CSV file with all your watchlist items, including program details, priority, notes, and deadlines. You can open this file in Excel or Google Sheets.

Is my data private and secure?

Yes, your personal data, watchlist, and notes are private and only visible to you. We use secure authentication and follow best practices for data protection. Your watchlist notes are stored securely and never shared.

How often is the data updated?

We regularly update our database with the latest information from institutions and accreditation bodies. However, admission requirements and cutoffs can change, so always verify with the institution directly before applying.

What's the difference between AI Search and traditional search?

Traditional search requires exact matches or keywords. AI Search understands natural language, abbreviations (like UNILAG for University of Lagos), and context. You can ask questions like "What programs are available for medicine at UNILAG?" and the AI will understand and find relevant results.

How does AI Course Discovery work?

AI Course Discovery analyzes your interests, career goals, and preferences to find matching programs. Simply describe what you want to study (e.g., "I want to study computer science in University of Lagos"), and the AI will find programs that match, explain why they match, and show admission probabilities if you have scores.

Do I need scores to use the AI Counselor?

For general questions about admission requirements, you don't need scores. However, for personalized counseling with specific recommendations and action items, you'll need to enter your UTME and O-level scores. The counselor uses your scores to provide tailored advice.

What are Role Models & Career Pathways?

Role Models shows you notable Nigerian professionals who studied a particular program. This includes real people like Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh (Medicine), Iyinoluwa Aboyeji (Computer Science), and others. Career Pathways shows you potential career steps and opportunities in that field. You can find this section on any program detail page - it helps you see where the program can lead you and who you could become.
